Analog Tacoma
Analog Tacoma is a contemporary residential development that reflects the rich cultural heritage of its surrounding neighborhood. The structure is composed of 6 stories of type IIIA wood construction over 2 stories of type IA concrete construction with a basement.
The development houses 115 thoughtfully designed residential units, offering a diverse mix of floor plans to cater to various lifestyles. These include micro-apartments, studios, and larger two- and three-bedroom units. Resident amenities include a gym and lounge with courtyard access on level two. On the rooftop, a second lounge gives residents access to panoramic views of the surrounding neighborhood and the city skyline. Designed as an outdoor social hub, the rooftop area is equipped with a BBQ station and a cozy firepit, fostering community connections and providing an ideal setting for gatherings, whether intimate or communal.
The architectural details are heavily influenced by the rich historic music scene in the region, particularly Tacoma’s contributions to the growth of rock, blues, and alternative music in the Pacific Northwest. Interior and exterior finishes subtly reference musical motifs, with design elements that evoke a sense of rhythm and creativity. These include custom lighting fixtures inspired by vintage amplifiers and instruments, and a custom mural in the lobby that celebrates local musicians and the cultural legacy of the area.
