Revant
The project began with the full renovation of an existing 3 story coffee warehouse in the industrial district in southeast Portland. The concrete structure upgraded with new stairs and an elevator. The original steel windows were removed, cleaned and then reinstalled. This painstaking task was worth the effort to preserve the industrial beauty of the revitalized structure.
Revant is sunglass designer and manufacturer of frames and lens. The old coffee warehouse was transformed to house their retail showroom that is accessible to the public. The remaining areas of the building house their manufacturing facilities and testing labs. The manufacturing process was outlined first, and then we worked with their team to develop a physical flow to the multi-story production facility that would best support their process.
