The Fitz

The Fitz is a mixed-use development located along Portland’s historic Northwest 23rd Avenue. This five-story building features four levels of wood-frame construction atop a concrete podium, blending contemporary design with traditional architectural elements. The north and south facades are defined by classic gable rooflines, evoking the surrounding neighborhood's vernacular. Stucco cladding and a distinctive roofline wrap the sides, contributing to the building’s timeless character.
At the ground level, the concrete podium anchors the structure, housing enclosed parking alongside active retail storefronts. These commercial spaces feature full-height operable windows, fostering an engaging indoor-outdoor experience that activates the streetscape.
Above, 64 residential units are distributed across four floors, offering a diverse mix of luxury studios, one-bedroom, and two-bedroom layouts ranging from 664 to 1,101 square feet. Each residence includes high-end finishes such as stainless steel appliances, marble countertops, and floor-to-ceiling windows. Interiors are elevated with 9-foot vaulted ceilings, full-height wainscoting, Arteriors' lighting, and in-unit washers and dryers.
Situated at the foot of the West Hills, The Fitz presents a well-integrated, human-scaled development that complements its prime location in Northwest Portland.
